10 minute call to discuss needs: Free
30 mins: £50 (1 room only)
1 hour: £80 (approx. 2-3 rooms)
2 hours: £140 (4+ rooms)
Payment is made by card, via Zettle, at the end of the appointment.
Consultations are a minimum half hour and a maximum 2 hours, agreed before the appointment.
My aim is to work with you as ultimately you’ll be living with the colour decisions.
Preferably, they take place during the day, to account for the rooms natural light.
Weekends and evenings are available on request.
I work mostly around Harpenden, St. Albans and the surrounding villages and can consider further afield for larger projects.
1 hour covers approximately 2-3 rooms, 2 hours will do 4-6 rooms. It is possible to cover more rooms but it is dependent on the size and complexity of the space, this can be discussed before booking.
Whilst paint colours are the focus point, I look at the larger colour palette, textures, light, acoustics and other furnishings so general design ideas can be discussed also.
Who do I work with?
I work with anyone that wants help with a paint colour and or palette for a space or multiple rooms.
I work with people who have no idea or want help with their own ideas.
I work with people looking to change the use of room, the feel of a room … and those that don’t know what they want to do with a room.
I like to work with people because most have an idea of what they like, even if they don’t know how to translate that to their home.
To give you a taster of some of the people I have worked with;
Someone who wanted to change her living room in to her sanctuary; she had ideas and wanted help to pull it together
Someone who bought 13 tester pots but still didn’t know which colour to choose
Someone who’s house was mostly all brilliant white and wanted to know which rooms to approach and with what colours
Someone who had their whole house newly refurbished, but the kitchen didn’t feel as hoped, so wanted to look at the paint colours to pull everything together
Someone who wanted to find a similar colour to redecorate a well-used part of the house without departing hugely from the current colour
Someone who was selling their home and wanted to redecorate for a good sale and price
Someone who had just moved house and wanted to personalise and refresh it without the cost and upheaval of a full renovation
No two situations are the same, so it’s likely your situation is none of the above.

The Small Print
Once the booking is confirmed, I will send a short questionnaire about your property, please fill this in and return it at least 48 hours before your confirmed appointment.
The client will be charged for the agreed amount of time, at the end of the appointment.
I do not provide paint samples to keep. I do bring paper samples with me for you to see in situ.
On completion of the appointment, I will leave you with a written card with the paint colour choices and paint finishes on it, to keep. I recommend taking a photo of this, on your phone, in case the card gets lost.
I am not affiliated to any paint brands. I aim to give guidance on best suited paint colours, paint finishes and amounts required – dependent on requirements.
All discussions on proposed paint colours should be discussed in the appointment so it can be illustrated in situ.
Buying a tester pot of the proposed colours, after the appointment and before painting, is fully advised but not obligatory and not included in the price of the consultation.
Quantities of paint are speculative and no liability is taken for ordering an incorrect amount. Amounts should be checked with any paint shop or decorator before purchasing.
All responsibility for the purchase of paint colour, finish and amount, as well as choice of decorator, is taken by the homeowner.
All appointments must be cancelled before 48 hours of the visit, where possible. All efforts will be made on my behalf to rearrange cancelled appointments, for new and suitable timings.
Refunds can only be considered for appointments cancelled before 48 hours.
In the event that I have to cancel an appointment, all efforts will be made to cancel as soon as possible and all efforts will be made to rearrange another future appointment.
I do not offer any discounts on paint products.
I do not offer refunds after consultations.
I do not offer compensation for choices of paint colours.
Depending on the paint colour chosen, some paint is available at local shops and some is only available via delivery, where most companies can deliver within a couple of days (some next day). Please note that many paint companies do not offer returns and or refunds for any paint products purchased, so it is important to specify the correct paint and finish when ordering.
No liability is taken for delays with decorators or contractors in paint orders and or additional man hours needed for paint / finish choices. Concerns and issues where this could be the case can be discussed in consultation.
